Core responsibilities consists of back-end development, working
with elasticsearch, debugging site issues, and seo. Features and
site improvements that I was responsible for: building merchandise
filters and rebuilding search components integrated with
elasticsearch, Rails 4 transition, coupon system, building an API
with Grape. Additionally, I contributed to site optimizations,
test suite refactoring, partner integration, and managing app
services.

Implemented new landing page, fully equipped with mobile
responsiveness thanks to Bourbon, Neat, and Flexbox and also
addressed other cross-browser issues that were affecting the app.
Refactored portions of the site that were underperforming and
implemented new checkout process with stripe. Due to increased
traffic, consulted scaling options with Heroku.

Building ecommerce app for customized merchandise. Using Rails 4.2
with PostgreSQL for back-end while using Angular on the front-end
for custom design tool. Custom design tool originally implemented
for apache, mysql, and php, but was modified to be implemented
with current rails app being built. Bourbon neat, sass,
coffeescript, and javascript being the other main components used
for the front-end.

Building analytics and monitoring system for Bitcoin mining rigs.
Using Rails 4.1 with PostgreSQL for relational data and InfluxDB
for time series data. Built a hypermedia api with grape to
interact with firmware. On the front-end, Ember used with D3 to
provide charts along with Bourbon and Neat to provide styling.

used for api. Dashboard on front-end built with Bootstrap 3.
Implementing interstitial ads for app that we are partnered with.
Ad implementation requiring no SDK, external dependencies, and as
little code as possible.

Completed phase 1 of the beta-invite landing page. I was given a
psd and was asked to start building a Rails app using Bootstrap 3,
Postgresql, and Heroku. This phase also required that I setup the
db for the beta-list and provide the ability to grant permission
for beta-invites.

Worked throughout January and February helping out with their
backlogs. I worked primarily on two Spree apps:
bluebottlecoffee.com and quarterly.co. Some of the major issues
that I worked on was providing site admins the ability to manage
customer credit cards, manage addresses to paid subscriptions, and
provide various reports regarding product performance. I also
helped with various troubleshooting issues regarding front-end
functionality.
